Fishing Plan: We leave the dock at the scheduled departure time. You are actively fishing in 15 to 20 minutes or less. All equipment is provided including bait, tackle, Rod, Reels, Ice and Water. You will fish 4 to 6 locations depending on the target species and the weather conditions. The boat will return to dock at the scheduled time to allow for time to clean and bag your day's catch.

Scalloping Plan and Activities:

We leave and arrive at the dock at the scheduled times. There are two trips a day unless we are booked for a Yacht Class All Day Scalloping Charter (See Charter Services Tab.) We travel for 30 minutes to the Crystal River Scallop grounds. Average daily depth will be 3-4 Feet but 5-6 Feet is common. The captain and/or crew will guide and teach you the process of scalloping. It is recommended that you review YOUTUBE videos prior to arriving if you are a first timer. We are experts at this so no worries, we will find them for you. We will scallop the entire time. You will also have time to lounge in the sun and take in the environment. Cleaning scallops is part of the experience and those who choose to learn and help out are welcome but not required to do so. We have everything covered so bring your smile, camera and snorkeling gear and have a great time.

What is a Bay Tour with RiverRod?

A casual tour of the famous Kings Bay, Hunter Springs, King Spring and the surrounding area. A slow cruise up Crystal River to see the Indian Mound and State Park. Island hopping for photo opportunities while keeping a sharp eye out for Manatees, Dolphins, Birds and more along the way. Periodic waterfront restaurant stops upon request.

What is a Sunset Cruise with RiverRod?

A relaxing three hour cruise up Crystal River to watch the Sunset over the Gulf of Mexico. We take a slow ride up Salt River and return through Crystal Bay that leads into the Crystal River. You can bring a small cooler if you choose or order ahead for specifics to be pre-stocked on board. Cheese, Crackers and Fruit are often essential for completing this relaxing Sunset Cruise. Best times in May-Aug 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
